Kelly Twigger
Kelly Twigger is the founder and owner of ESI Attorneys. After spending several years advising existing clients on e-discovery issues at a large firm, Kelly felt that organizations needed separate e-discovery counsel whose advice was not tied to developing the client’s business in a larger firm setting. Thus, ESI Attorneys was born. Prior to starting ESI Attorneys, Kelly was a partner with a national AmLaw 200 law firm, where she established and headed the firm’s Records Retention and Electronic Discovery Team, including the firm’s e-discovery blog. She is a frequent speaker and guest lecturer at Marquette University Law School. Kelly’s work with clients includes:
- Establishing a process for preserving, collecting and producing ESI to achieve consistency and reduce the costs and risk associated with e-discovery;
- Conducting assessments of where an organization is and where it needs to be given current legal obligations;
- Managing the e-discovery process at organizations with no dedicated legal counsel for e-discovery;
- Managing RIM Initiatives within an organization to understand and manage the sources of ESI that are discoverable;
- Identifying technological solutions, i.e. legal hold tools, ECM, email archives, that meet the business and legal needs for a specific organization;
- Training in-house and outside counsel on their obligations in e-discovery and how to meet them;
- Helping clients select vendors for e-discovery projects; and
- Drafting RFB’s for e-discovery related issues to be sent to outside counsel.
