Another use for that Volcano in Iceland?
Another brilliant cartoon from Case in Point. Remember your preservation obligation kicks in when you reasonably anticipate litigation, a subpoena or a government investigation. A good rule of thumb is if you have hired outside counsel or are thinking about doing it, you reasonably anticipate litigation. Even a volcano won’t help at that point, unless it destroys your offices and your backups.
